A few quick facts from Phoenix Children's and Arizona Bleeding Disorders:

• In 2021, 190 research studies were open with 328 patients enrolled covering Hemophilia, Blood Disorders, and various Cancers.
• Over 1,660 new patients were seen within our Hematology Program in 2021.
• Phoenix Children's is the only federally-funded Hemophilia & Thrombosis Program in Phoenix.
• Data has shown better outcomes for this patient population when followed at a Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center. 
• Bleeding Disorders are life-threatening, debilitating, and expensive to treat.
• The family of a child with severe Hemophilia will spend over $150,000 per year to prevent bleeding.
